What’s normal?

Sometimes, we need to stop for a few minutes and consider what we’re doing—what has become normal in our lives.

That was one of the lessons I learned at the National Girl Scout convention last month in Salt Lake City. The leaders at a workshop about leadership quoted Ellen DeGeneres, the comedian.

“Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work and driving through traffic in a car that you are still paying for in order to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes and the car and the house you leave vacant all day so you can afford to live in it.”

  1. Yes, what is normal?

I agree that it is so easy sometimes to get caught up in our daily lives that we don’t stop for a minute and consider what we are doing.
